Welcome to Agalería

Agalería is the virtual museum of Afundación Obra Social BANCA. It’s a new project which tries to create and promote inclusive solutions in order to make available to all of us the valuable cultural heritage of the ABANCA and Afundación Collections, as well as pieces from museums, institutions and collectors who collaborate in the different exhibition projects.

Agalería is a 3D generated fictitious space, in a virtual location, where leisure, culture and education are combined. A space that allows the display of works of art through an innovative and novel experience where the visitor can move freely through a unique exhibition space, while admiring the natural environment that surrounds it through the transparency of it’s walls.

It’s launch in 2020, coinciding with the International Day of the Oceans, was not accidental since Afundación, ABANCA's welfare project, wanted to show that the health of our seas, and the environment in general, is deteriorating due to climate change, the depletion of natural resources and the contamination of terrestrial ecosystems.

ABANCA and it’s welfare project, Afundación, work towards a sustainable model that unites all efforts to mobilize, create and promote solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Thus, the first exhibition 'The Sea in ABANCA and Afundación Art Collections' was a demonstration of our commitment to the SDG14 'Underwater Life': protecting and restoring the health of the oceans as part of our responsibility.

The second exhibition, 'Looking Back. Women Against Time' can now be seen in Agaleria and is directly linked to one of the fundamental human rights set out in SDG5 'Gender Equality', essential to building a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.

All the contents of Agalería are aimed at raising awareness of good practices and disseminating knowledge so that the whole of society is informed and can be part of the change. The SDG4 'Education' is part of the DNA of Afundación, ABANCA's welfare project.
